Before the main event of the Friday Night Fight card held at the Buffalo Run Casino in Oklahoma tonight, we have a couple of fights to report on. Firstly, a light heavyweight bout took place between undefeated contender Allan Green and veteran Sebastian Hill. Green took the win with a third round stoppage, moving his record to fifteen wins with eleven stoppages. The following is the round by round account of this fight as it happened.
Round one: Green is a straight-up boxer looking to set things up behind his jab. Hill is mobile and much the smaller man. After a barrage of shots, Hill finds himself on the canvas suddenly. He gets up to survive the round but begins to fight negatively as a result of being knocked down by Green who looks like he carries some decent power.
Round two: Green jabs well. The action is scrappy in this round but Green is definitely more organized. Hill is certainly trying to survive instead of trying to make headway into the fight. Green lands a good right hand. Hill is wanred for spitting out his mouthpiece. Two successive right hands right on the left side of Hill’s face put him down on his back. It is a heavy knockdown and he does well to get up and return to his corner.
Round three: Hill decides that he has nothing to lose and goes after Green. Green simply rolls with the punches and has no problem landing whatever he wants. Green starts to look a little one-dimensional, lacking the gears to take out the now unambitious Hill who seems to have reverted back to survival mode. Green pins Hill to the ropes and lets go with a barrage of shots, at the sight of which the referee decides that is enough is enough.
Green wins by third round technical knockout.
