Mahir Oral and Alexander Sipos both weighed in at exactly 160 lb for their WBC Mediterranean middleweight championship clash today in Cuxhaven, Germany.
It is the second time Oral and Sipos meet in 2008. On May 30, “Lion” Mahir won a close unanimous decision in Bilbao, Spain. Now Sipos is seeking revenge.
The other fights in Cuxhaven feature some of the best German heavyweights today. Steffen Kretschmann, 12-0 (11), 229 lb, faces “Highlander” Marcel Zeller, 21-2 (20), 233 lb and Konstantin Airich, 10-1-1 (9), 225 lb takes on Alexander Jakob, 25-4-1 (15), 247 lb.
Also on the card: Former two-times world heavyweight champion Herbie Hide, 45-4,(42), 207 lb, who steps into the ring with Polish journeyman Lukask Rusiewicz.
The show starts at 7pm and will be broadcasted live on Eurosport from 9pm on.
