Tonight in England at the Magna Centre, in Rotherham, Sheffield’s light heavyweight star Clinton Woods finally managed to become a world champion in his fourth attempt. Woods scored a handy fifth round stoppage of formerly undefeated challenger Rico Hoye in front of jubilant support for the Englishman. Woods had previously lost title

challenges to Roy Jones Jr. and twice to Glen Johnson.

In the chief support bout, cruiserweight star David Haye returned to devastating form against former world title challenger Glenn Kelly. Haye knocked Kelly out in the second round after putting him down multiple times.
