On March 6 at the beautiful Mohegan Sun Resort and Casino, Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing will put on an exciting six bout card, headlined by a sizzling showdown between Star Boxing promoted welterweights Delvin Rodriguez, 23-2-2 (14), and Shamone “The Truth” Alvarez, 20-1 (11). At stake will be Rodriguez’s USBA welterweight championship.
Lynn, Massachusetts junior welterweight prospect Simeon Dunwell, 8-0 (2), will look to keep is undefeated record intact when he takes on veteran Shakha Moore, 10-13-3 (2).
Moore, who resides in nearby Norwalk, CT, will look to use his hometown support to pull of the upset against the fast rising Dunwell. The bout is scheduled for six rounds.
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania’s Frank Trader, 2-0 (0), will look to continue where he left off in 2008 when he takes on Worcester, Massachusetts’ Edwin Rosado, 1-4 (0). The bout is scheduled for four rounds in the super featherweight division.
Rounding out the card will be Byfield, Massachusett’s own Derrick Silviera, 1-0 (1), taking on Ontario’s Chris Aucoin, 1-1-1 (0), in a four round junior middleweight contest.
The card is promoted by Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing in association with Mohegan Sun Casino and Resort. Tickets are priced at $75.00, $45.00 and $30.00 and are on sale now through Ticketmaster.
