TKO Boxing Announces “Steel Valley Rumble” For June 27

World class professional boxing returns to the Youngstown, Ohio area as Chet Koerner’s TKO Boxing Promotions presents the “Steel Valley Rumble” on Saturday, June 27th at the Memorial Field House in Campbell, Ohio.

Said Koerner, “This is our first event in the Youngstown area and just as we’ve done across the country, we’re planning an outstanding card for the terrific fights fans. We’ve got some great local prospects on the card who we believe have the skills to become future world champions.”

Headlining will be the Fighting Pride of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Andres Taylor . The undefeated, all-action Taylor ,

8-0-1 (4KO’s), is coming off his career best win, a seventh round stoppage of Simon Carr on May 2nd in front of a huge crowd of his hometown supporters at the War Memorial Arena in Johnstown, PA.

Also featured will be sensational prospects Mickey and Cortez Bey of Cleveland, Ohio. Lightweight Mickey Jr., 12-0-0 (7KO’s), is looking to kickoff his 2009 campaign in style having won all three of his bouts last year, highlighted by a ten round decision over Columbian based contender Wilson Alcorro on May 17th in Primm, Nevada.

The 25 year old prospect followed that up with a first round knockout of Miguel Angel Munguia on October 24th in Cabazon, California .

Younger brother Cortez, 8-0-0 (5KO’s), will also be making his first start of 2009. He also won by knockout on October 24th, stopping Marlo Cortez on the same card. Both brothers are guided by award winning manager Cameron Dunkin.

Also appearing will be Pittsburgh based welterweight prospect Jesse Lubash. Carrying a record of 11-0-0 with seven knockouts, the 24 year old is coming off a third round stoppage of Chad Greenleaf on May 2nd in Johnstown , PA.

Making his return to his home of Youngstown is popular welterweight Jake Giuriceo. Having made his pro debut by stopping Mark Suarez on February 21st on the Kelly Pavlik/Marco Antonio Rubio undercard, Giuriceo improved his record to 2-0-0 (1KO), with a four round decision over Aaron Anderson on May 2nd in Johnstown, PA.

Rounding out the undercard are newcomers; Cleveland junior middleweight Dante Moore, 3-0-0 (2KO’s), junior welterweight Will Nixon, 2-0-0 (2KO’s) and the pro debut of Julius LeeGrand in separate bouts.

Advance tickets priced at $60.00, $30.00 and $20.00, can be purchased by calling 330-219-2290 or 330-692-0692.. The Memorial Field House is located at 280 6th Street in Campbell , Ohio .. Doors on the evening of the event will open at 6pm with the first bell at 7pm.

More information on this event will be announced shortly. Additional amateur bouts will also be part of the event.
