Jaron Boots Ennis Stops Xander Zayas In 7th Round | Matchroom Boxing

Jaron “Boots” Ennis became the unified WBA and WBO World Super Welterweight Champion with a seventh-round TKO of Xander Zayas after a war at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

In a brutal 154lbs battle, the younger champion pushed Ennis to the absolute limit. Zayas battled back after a first-round knockdown and hurt Boots in the third.

But Ennis dropped Zayas again in the fifth and seventh rounds, with Zayas’ corner stopping the fight after the final knockdown. Boots moves to 36-0 with 32 KOs and takes both world titles.
