Boxing Weights: Danny McIntosh vs. Nathan Cleverly

Danny McIntosh is determined to upset the odds in London tonight and capture the vacant British title by handing Welsh wizard Nathan Cleverly his first defeat.

McIntosh, the reigning English Champion also holds an impressive undefeated record but he remains a 4/1 outsider ahead of the bout.

The Norwich man has promised to make a mockery of those odds at the York Hall, Bethnal Green when he headlines the Hennessy Sports card.

The event is live on ITV4’s Big Fight Live from 8pm and McIntosh is relishing the opportunity to shine in front of the cameras.

“There’s going to be an awful lot of people with egg on their face after tomorrow night,” predicted McIntosh.

“I’ve every confidence in my ability and there’s been plenty of hype about him being the next Joe Calzaghe but when he gets in that ring the hype will disappear and he’ll be faced with the reality.

“I know a lot of people are picking against me but that just puts all the pressure on him. I know what I’m capable of. I’ve worked really hard for this fight and I know that the British title is coming back with me to Norwich.”
