Boxing In Britain: Promising Maltese Amateurs Go To Camp In Wales

Maltese boxing athletes, Haithem Lammous and Clint Grech have just started a two week training program in Wales.

The visit was organized and sponsored by Mr. Nino Spiteri, the MBF Representative in Wales, whose family are from Ghajnsielem, Gozo.

Mr. Spiteri who has been involved in boxing since his early teens has a vast amount of experience and contacts in both amateur and professional boxing and is also experienced in the promotion of boxing shows; he has worked with several British, Commonwealth and World Champions.

During their visit, the Maltese boys will train under former WBO Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Maccarinelli, former World Featherweight Champion Steve Robinson and current British and Commonwealth Light Heavyweight ChampionNathan Cleverley along with the Welsh International Boxing Team.
