The promotion is titled, “Who’s the Daddy?” British heavyweight Matt Skelton aims to prove that the holds the answer to that question his fists. After a verbal barrage from opponent Danny Williams, Skelton has fired back and claims that it Williams that will not be able to stand the heat when the two come together in an all-British heavyweight showdown on July 16. On the same night as Bernard Hopkins meets challenger Jermain Taylor, the British scene offers this heavyweight explosion into the boxing mix. Williams assures the boxing fans that he has the superior pedigree, having fought for a world title, and he alludes to Skelton’s basic fighting style. While Williams has the better skills, no fighter has survived the rough-house tactics that Skelton has employed to defeat all comers so far in his career. Ominously, Skelton has plans to not only retain his British title, he he aims to put Williams out to pasture once and for all.
