Beyer\’s Next Defense Against Sheika.

On September 3, not only will Zab Judah headline a spectacular night’s boxing against Sharmba Mitchell, but over in Germany, the WBC super middleweight title will be on the line as Markus Beyer risks the belt against Omar Sheika. The fight represents Sheika’s fourth attempt at a world super middleweight title after failed attempts at the WBO version and Joe Calzaghe, the WBC and Eric Lucas and most recently, the IBF version and Jeff Lacy. Beyer is the three-time WBC champion with only two losses, both to former champions Cristian Sanavia and Glenn Catley.
