Kell Brook’s ‘War of the Roses’ clash with Matthew Hatton at the Motorpoint Arena Sheffield on March 17 has been given added endorsement as Sky will screen the show in stunning 3D.
The news that the Yorkshire vs. Lancashire clash will be in the new format confirms the magnitude of public interest that ‘War of the Roses’ has got as the explosive St Patrick’s Day night in Sheffield enters a new dimension. The show will also be available on Sky Sports 1 and HD1.
The announcement comes at the end of a week when the thrilling undercard bouts were revealed for the March 17 show. It features a second Commonwealth super bantamweight title defence for Barry McGuigan’s highly-rated protégé Carl Frampton, Greg Proksa’s first defence of his European middleweight title against Kerry Hope and former British welterweight champion Lee Purdy aiming to get back to winning ways against Nottingham’s Adnan Amar.
Exciting middleweight prospect John Ryder hopes to take his unbeaten record into double figures against Huddersfield danger man Alastair Warren who fought for the WBC Youth World title in 2010. Eamonn O’Kane makes his fourth pro appearance when he takes on Wayne Reed, while unbeaten Dudley middleweight Ryan Aston faces Barnsley’s Lee Noble, amateur star Scott Cardle makes his professional debut at lightweight and Sheffield heavyweight David Howe also features.
