In the fight for the IBF cruiserweight championship of the world, champion O’Neil Bell retained the title against former WBU, IBO and European titlist Sebastian Rothmann. In the only title fight being held in Hollywood, florida, Bell successfull negotiated his first defense of the vacant title he took in his vacant championship battle with Canadian Dale Brown. Rothmann, a serious puncher in his own right ended up stopped in the eleventh round as Bell finally hammered in the right hands that have stopped the majority of his opponents to date. With the win, Bell moves his record to twenty-fine wins, one loss and one draw with twenty-three knockouts.
