Last night at the Whitehall Athletic Club, prized Middleweight prospect Antoine Douglas scored a spectacular second round stoppage over Juan Zapata to raise his perfect mark to 6-0 with 4 knockouts.
Douglas of Washington, D.C dropped Zapata, 2-6-1, once in round one and two times in the second frame. Douglas worked the body throughout the fight and the body work set up the first two knockdowns. With Zapata’s hands guarding his body, Douglas came upstairs with a devastating left hook to drop Zapata completely out in the second frame.
“That’s the kind of performance we expect from Antoine”, said Vito Mielnicki of GH3 Promotions who promote Douglas along with Greg Cohen Promotions.
“We are keeping Antoine active and he will be on the ShoBox undercard on May 10th in Miami, Oklahoma”
