Ringside Report: Boxing Thriller At Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City!

It was a night of heavy artillery as an accurate Wladimir Klitschko had to climb off the canvas multiple times to outbusy the “Nigerian Nightmare” Samuel Peter and take a unanimous decision. Peter clubbed the giant Ukrainian to the floor but was himself on very thin ice during a hard hitting twelfth and final round. In a spectacular light welter shootout, Miguel Cotto defended his WBO crown but not without moments of major difficulty on his way to outslugging and stopping a game Ricardo Torres, who had been undefeated coming into the contest. Quick fisted light welter Kendall Holt had his hands full with better than expected Ukrainian journeyman Vladimir Khodokovski and former heavyweight world title challenger Henry Akinwande carved up a brave but outgunned Tipton Walker.
