Maloney Promotions are disappointed to announce that Friday’s show at the York Hall featuring the British bantamweight fight between Martin Power and Isaac Ward has had to be cancelled due to the British champion picking up an injury.
Martin Power sustained a shoulder injury during training last week and despite a week under the supervision of the physio of Charlton Athletic Football club the injury hasn’t responded to treatment and it is with much regret that after a final fitness test today it was deemed that due
to the nature of the sport with the principal concern being that of the welfare of the boxers it was decided that he wasn’t fit enough to take part in the fight so regrettably the whole show has had to be cancelled.
The show will be rescheduled for the end of April or the beginning of May
