Munoz Loses WBA Title!

Former undefeated WBA super flyweight champion Alexander Munoz lost his title tonight at the Entertainment Center in Laredo, Texas, USA to Martin Castillo by a unanimous twelve round decision. Munoz was down twice in the fight and the judges scorecards eventually indicated that Castillo was a winner by a considerable margin. Castillo’s only loss came in his first world title bid against then IBF super flyweight champion Felix Machado. Munoz returns to Venezuela with his first defeat but Castillo, born in Mexico City will return home triumphant with a new professional record of twenty-seven wins, one loss with sixteen wins coming by knockout.
