The Magnificent Seven: Irish Boxers Shine At EUBC Tournament

Seven Irish boxers will be aiming for gold in Saturday’s EUBC European Schoolboy Championships finals at the Citywest Hotel in Dublin, Ireland.

Team captain Aaron McKenna, twin brothers Jason and Jamie Harty, Barry McReynolds, Paul Ryan, Sean Whelan and Jordan Myres all won their semi-finals today.

The seven are all guaranteed at least a silver medal each. In total, Ireland have secured at least seven silver and three bronze medals from the 19-nation IABA hosted tournament.

Saturday’s finals begin at 2pm tomorrow at the Citywest Hotel.
