Popular Dallas middleweight contender Charles “The Future” Hatley will now face battle tested Columbian veteran Richar “La Lamina” Gutierrez in the 10-round co-main event of “Big Texas Throwdown” this Friday, September 26 at the Mesquite Arena in Mesquite, Texas, just outside of Dallas.
Hatley’s original opponent, former world title challenger Joachim Alcine, was forced to withdraw from the bout due to an injury.
Sporting a record of 28-13-1 (17KO’s), the Miami, Florida based Gutierrez returns to action following an eight round decision win over undefeated prospect Leonard Carrillo on May 17, 2014 in Arjona, Columbia.
The 28-year-old Hatley sports a record of 23-1-1 (16KO’s), following his fifth round stoppage of Jose Flores on April 12th in Dallas, TX.
“Big Texas Throwdown” is headlined by an excellent 12-round WBA Bantamweight Super Title bout between longtime champion Anselmo “Chemito” Moreno, 35-2-1 (12KO’s), of San Miguelito, Panama and #1 ranked contender Juan Carlos Payano, 15-0-0 (8KO’s,) of the Dominican Republic.
Also featured on the card will be popular former world title challenger Robert Marroquin, 23-3-1 (16KO’s), undefeated cruiserweight prospect Raphael Murphy 9-0-0 (7KO’s) and super featherweight prospect De Anthony Bonner, 7-1-0 (2KO’s).
Additionally making his U.S. debut is heralded Mexican featherweight prospect Moises “Chuky” Flores, 20-0-0 (15KO’s).
