Malignaggi special guest on ESPN2 FNF

ByBoxing Press 02/02/2007

World-class light welterweight Paulie “The Magic Man” Malignaggi breaks training camp in Vero Beach (FL) for 24 hours to be an in studio guest with host Brian Kenny in Bristol (CT) on tomorrow night’s ESPN2 Friday Night Fights (FNF) show (9-11 PM/ET).

Malignaggi, who has been training the past month in Vero Beach with his new head trainer, “Buddy” McGirt, is traveling with his manager, Sal LoNano. In two weeks (Feb. 17), Malignaggi will headline “Triple Play At The Hammerstein,” an HBO Boxing After Dark show on February 17 against Edner Cherry (21-4-2, 10 KOs) in the 10-round main event at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City.

“I’m excited,” Malignaggi said about his ESPN2 appearance. “It’s going to be a valuable experience for me. Being on Friday Night Fights with Brian will be great opportunity to get exposure and publicity for the February 17th fight and Paulie Malignaggi. It’s just a 24-hour break from training and I’ll be back there working out Saturday.”
