Marquez Requesting More Money.

WBA/IBF featherweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez has made his voice heard ahead of his fight with Manny Pacquiao proposed for late February. Marquez, even in training has asserted that the fight remains a potential one only until his

financial needs are met. Pacquiao is due to start his training for the fight any day now. The purse split currently stands at 900.000 for Pacquiao while Marquez will receive 750.000. However, Marquez insists that his ownership of the two titles should guarantee him at least 1.5 million dollars for the rematch with Pacquiao and that as of this date, he has signed no contract for the fight and will not do so until his demands are met. Stay tuned for more details as they happen.
