The 39th annual North American Boxing Federation convention was inaugurated today by Governor Felix Gonzalez Canto in Cancun, Mexico, with the attendance of 200 delegates from the U.S.A., Canada and Mexico.
The NABF voted unanimously to adopt the 30 and 7-day weigh-ins for NABF championship fights.
WBC President Jose Sulaiman gave a speech inviting the NABF to form a committee for a specific meeting with the ABC to address important topics for the betterment of boxing within Canada, the U.S.A., and Mexico.
Another important topic was a creation of a committee to evaluate the current 10-point must system and recommend a few important changes to be discussed at the WBC convention that will take place in Manila Philippines in November this year.
