Glen Johnson (45-11-2, 30 KOs) is a throwback fighter in the best sense of the word, a hard-nosed warrior who would have been among the elite in any era of boxing history. An aggressive battler who owns wins over Roy Jones Jr. and Antonio Tarver, among others, this former world light heavyweight champion and 2004 Fighter of The Year is poised to make another run at the world title, a point emphasized by his 11th round TKO of former world titlist Montell Griffin in May, a win that earned him the IBF’s number one world ranking and guaranteed him a shot at champion Clinton Woods.
Six foot three southpaw “Fabulous’ Fred Moore (30-6, 27 KOs) has gone through a series of ups and downs over the course of a career that began in 1994, but after a two-year break from the ring, the hard-hitting Philadelphia native is eager to get back in the game and fulfill his promise by taking out one of the division’s best in Glen Johnson.
Also scheduled to see action on the high-impact July 27th card are 12-1 Damian “Devo’ Frias, Alex Brenes, and heavyweights Colin Fern and Henry Fuentes.
