Former world champions and current top-rated contenders Vernon Forrest and Carlos Baldomir collide for the vacant World Boxing Council super welterweight title, Saturday, July 28.
Promoted by Gary Shaw Productions, in association with Brian Halquist Productions, the Forrest-Baldomir title tilt will be broadcast live from the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, Washington, on HBO Boxing After Dark, beginning at 10:15 P.M. ET/PT, delayed on the west coast.
Carlos Baldomir: “I’m coming here to fight. I’m coming here to become a world champion. I’ll give it all that I got for my fans and I’m bringing back a title to Argentina. I’m in tremendous shape. You’ll see on Saturday how quick and agile I am. I know I am here to fight so it’s going to be a great show. After this fight people will recognize that I still have a lot left in me. I feel strong, filled with energy and most of all hungry for big fights.”
