Howard Eastman says there is no chance that he will retire from boxing for some time to come. The thirty-four year old “Battersea Bomber” might have lost a decision to Bernard Hopkins for the undisputed middleweight crown last Saturday, but Eastman is undeterred. Even Hopkins stated that Eastman deserves a rematch and the vast majority of observers are of the opinion that Hopkins merely stole the win, rather than thoroughly dominating his British foe. The chances of Eastman securing a Hopkins rematch are remote as

Hopkins indicates his desire to win the light heavyweight crown from Glen Johnson. However, there are still plenty of deserving middleweight contenders around and Eastman would likely be paired with one of them for a vacant middleweight title. We will keep you updated to further developments in this story as they happen.
