Spadafora Sentence up to Five Years.

Former IBF lightweight champion Paul Spadafora was sentenced to up to five years imprisonment today for the shooting of his grilfriend Nadine Russo. Five years would appear to be the maximum sentence for Spadafora as it is rumored that if he elects to complete a boot-camp program, he could be released from prison in as little as six months. Spadafora, rumored to be battling alcohol

addiction, fought the majority of his career at lightweight before moving up to the talent-packed light welterweight divison where he had little time to make his mark before his legal woes took over. Spadafora was charged with aggravated assault for shooting his now fiancee in the stomach over a public dispute in his native Pittsburgh. The two have since reconciled.
