Star Boxing Announces November 7 Atlantic City Undercard

ByBoxing Press 04/11/2008

The undercard has been announced for Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing show at Bally’s Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, NJ on November 7. The card, which is being broadcast live on GoFightLive.tv, and will feature the WBA #5 rated heavyweight in the world Kevin “Kingpin” Johnson, 20-0-1 (7), taking on Matt Greer, 12-3 (11), in the main event, will also showcase
some of boxing’s hottest young talent, along with some very intriguing cross road battles.

In addition to the ten round welterweight clash between New Jersey products and top contenders Terrance “Heat” Cauthen, 33-4 (9), of Trenton, NJ and Shamone “The Truth” Alvarez, 19-1 (11), Atlantic City, NJ, there are five additional bouts scheduled to appear on the card.

Star Boxing’s Curtis “Showtime” Stevens, 18-2 (13), looks to get back into top contention when he takes on Ray Smith, 8-2 (2), in an eight round super middleweight contest. The 23 year old Brooklyn, NY native was one of the most decorated amateurs to come out of New York in many years when he turned pro back in 2004. Stevens is a very aggressive fighter who looks to put on an exciting show each time out. In his last fight, Stevens got off the canvas against Thomas Reid and went on to stop Reid in the 8th and final round in a very exciting fight.

Former heavyweight champion of the world Bruce “The Atlantic City Express” Seldon, 38- 7 (34), takes on up and comer Brad Gregory, 11-1 (9), in an eight round heavyweight contest. As witnessed by their records, both Seldon and Gregory have knockout power which is sure to make for an exciting match up between the two heavyweight bangers.

Star Boxing’s welterweight phenom 19-year-old Raymond Serrano, 7-0 (5), from nearby Philadelphia, PA looks to continue on his path of destruction up the welterweight ladder when he takes on Shakha Moore, 10-12-3 (2). Serrano has been terrific each time out and seems sure to become a serious threat to the welterweight division in the years to come.

Rounding out the card are two of Atlantic City’s own, hot bantamweight prospect, 19-year-old Qa’id “Kid Dynamite” Muhammad, 3-0 (3), and cruiserweight Lavarn “Baby Bowe” Harvell, 1-0. Both are scheduled to participate in 4 round contests.

Tickets are priced at $90 and $60 and can be purchased by calling Ticketmaster at 1(800) 736-1420 or going online to ticketmaster.com. Tickets are also available by calling Star Boxing at (718) 823-2000 or by going online to www.starboxing.com.

  • Do we understand that these people are FIGHTING? 03/10/2026
We watch boxing as if it is just a sport. But do we realize that these people are fighting. Like, literally trying to beat each other to death in the ring? Do we appreciate how different that is? I was sitting back today and watching some old fights and the reality hit me. These people are actually fighting. How amazing and shocking that is at the same time? […]

  • Kugan Should Retire! 16/09/2026
He’s Eddies mate and I know they’ve been doing interviews since before either of them really had a profile…but Eddie still gives Kugan wayyyyy too much latitude in the interviews that Hearn needs to resonate with the public. Kugan constantly cuts across him, with some meaningless aside, or to tries to get a rubbish ‘gotcha’, for no reason. There are better i […]

  • Ain't we all want to see Jai v David? 14/09/2026
Don’t we? Let’s cut all of the bullshit here. This is the only fight worth a $100 PPV buy, it’s Jai Opetai v David Benavidez. Canelo is in the background now. He is not worthy of paying any attention to at this point and time. Plus, since Crawford is retired, he is not worth mentioning either, even if he comes back to fight Boots… There is no other fight on […]
