Grant Outlasts Hamdan.

If a life-threatening car accident could not stop Otis Grant’s climb towards a championship, Nader Hamdan was always going to have a tough time doing so. Grant won an almost identical decision on all cards tonight at the Casino de Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Hamdan came all the way from Australia with a decent record and a reputation as a hard-working scrapper but it was not enough to get the better of Grant, who now looks to return to action in June and then perhaps another two fights before 2005 is over. Whispers are circulating around the Montreal fight scene that Grant may be able to compete in a bout against Eric Lucas in the near future. Lucas returns to the ring next weekend against James Crawford and a Grant-Lucas bout would certainly draw a huge gate in Montreal’s Bell Centre no matter when it happens.
