Michael Conlon got Ireland’s campaign at the 2011 AIBA World Championships and Olympic qualifiers off to a flying start in Baku, Azerbaijan yesterday. The St John Bosco BC (Belfast) flyweight beat 2011 European bronze medalist Alexandr Riscan of Moldova 25-12 in the last-64 of the tournament.
