Default Any boxers or boxing fans fed up with Showtime's radical liberal agenda?

In my area Showtime runs an advertisement on channel 600 that goes something like: " where else can one find the brutality of boxing, the openess of weeds, the in your face facts of Penn & Teller, and the visually sensual all on one channel?

I don't know how many times my family has paid for what was advertised as four hours of fights but then after an hour we get Penn & Teller ripping up Bibles and doing something likeputting down the boy scouts because homosexuals are no longer hired; or we get the show "weeds" that that portrays pot smokers as the in crowd and all the non-pot snokers as nerds and jerks, or else its some kind of porn.

Shouldn't boxers who are for the most part Christian and or spirtually devout protest having their fights shown on the same channel with this garbage?

Watch what you want, and change the channel when something comes on you don't like. Do you need someone to hold your hand?

You should petition the 700 club to show fights. Jimmy Swagart can be the comentator. Praise Jesus.

I don't have Show Time. Only HBO. I remember distinctly taking it off because of Queer as Folk and the "L" Word. Ironically, I used to work for Viacom that owned the damn thing.

If they spend much time and effort in boxing as they do with these liberal, lesbian and gay shows, they wouldn't be losing boxers like Calzaghe and Hatton to HBO.

Pretty soon they wouldn't be able to keep Castillo and Corrales after their fight.

If you cancel a tv channel that airs great prizefights like showtime, on account of you don't like hearing liberal views

Start getting out of the house more often, you'll love yourself for it

    Promise!!

lemme guess. They've lost Calzaghe and Hatton. Pretty soon after Lacy makes a solid comback and is in contention again, HBO will sign him over.

If Roy Jones does good in these upcoming fights, HBO will resign him.

All great fighters leave Showtime for HBO. Showtime has not shown proper committment to boxing as it has shown for liberal, lesbian and gay shows.

This is why I took it off my Direct Tv account.

On HBO, I can see ODH, PBF and Hatton. The 3 biggest names in boxing. In addition I can see Jermaine Taylor and Winky Wright. Pretty soon I will be seeing Calzaghe, and by next yr I'll be seeing Calzaghe vs Tarver.

The above is what you call COMMITTMENT TO BOXING

Now let us compare that to Showtime that is owned by Viacom, the world's biggest Media Group

Lost Calzaghe just as he entered his prime. Lost Kessler Lost Hatton just as he entered his prime. Signed an already fading Tyson after release from prison. Signed a post prime Jones after he got KOED and unceremoniously fired from HBO. Will have Corrales and Castillo, for the near future.

The above is what you call UNCOMMITED TO BOXING

But instead I am to watch Emmy Awarding winning and nominated, "Queer as Folk," and, "The "L" Word."

This is the difference between Showtime and HBO. HBO goes for quality across the board, whether in sports, movies or original production like deadwood, the sopranos, rome etc.

If you want to stick to your moral majority position, you need to remove HBO too. Real Time with Bill Maher (liberal), Big Love (polygamy), etc. I agree that HBO has better programming and recently has had a few better fights, but you're being an idiot.

Like I said he doesn't leave his house much
Bet if BigMix really let us know what really has his panties in a bunch we'd laugh

How can you compare Real Time and Big Love with Queer as Folk and the L Word

The closest thing HBO has compared to Queer and Folk and the L word, is 6 Feet Under. But 6 feet under is pretty mild compared to those ouvert homosexual acts that one sees on Queer as folk and the L word. By the way, I can't imagine I'm even trying to debate your ridiculous position.

Your statement alone is self defeating, since Real Time with Bill Maher is a talk show, whereas Big Love is a show surrounding Mormons. "Sex" is not the ever pursuing apotheosis of these shows. CONTEXT, CONTEXT, CONTEXT. But in Queer as Folk and the L Word, gay sex is.

And if you call me an idiot for holding that position, I would gladly wear the title since you show that you have a superificial grasp of what is going on here. Superificial people giving insults are actually compliments.

    lastly, I'm not a conservative.

After having a son, I would be watching television, mostly sports trying to rock him to sleep. And guess what, having Queer as Folk, and the L word coming on afterwards is does not cut it.

HBO has boxing, Real Sports, Inside the NFL, Legendary Nights etc. All top quality programming, in addition to the best fighters.

What is wrong with Gay and Lesbian shows? I will tell something, there is a lot more Gay and Lesbian people, than there are true boxing fans.

If all the fighters didn't look like Jeff Lacey we'd have more gay and lesbian fans
