Scott Harrison vs Gairy St. Clair

Another new foe for Harrison!
WBO World Featherweight Champion Scott Harrison will now defend his title against Gairy St. Claire replacing Martin Honorio on May 20 at the Kings Hall in Belfast. Honorio had stepped in when original mandatory challenger Joan Guzman pulled out, but due to circumstances beyond Sports Network and Jimmy Montana (Honorio's manager) control, Honorio went missing for three days and has now decided not to take part in the fight. As a result of the above Sports Network understand that further action may be taken by the WBO against Honorio. St. Claire, who holds the WBO Intercontinental crown, comes in with a good record of 37 wins from 42 fights with only three losses, two draws and 17 KO's.
Gairy lives in my town and I spoke to him a few weeks ago at the pub watching the Mayweather/Judah fight. He told me his camp were negotiating with Warren to make the fight. Then I heard Honorio had got the fight I didn't think about it. Today I read he's got the fight and it's on May 20, exactly 1 week to get to Britain, get settled and challenge for a world title.
I don't know if Gairy will beat Harrison, but he's a nice fella, very quiet sort of bloke and from what I read about Harrison he sounds like a bit of a dick. Gairy's main problem will be a lack of power, but he is a slick counter pouncher and has a nice jab.
Good luck to Gairy next Saturday night!!
