Thread: After a Metacarpal Break

Hey , i broke my hand after a hook and it required a plate and four screws to get it aligned. What length of time other than what the doc says should i really wait so i don't jeopardize my career as a boxer. I fight pro so using the 12 oz gloves seems like a foolish thing to use after even three months as recommended. I'm a heavyweight and plan on going soft on the bag after a month and a half and figure punching a little harder as the weeks go by. So, im open toi suggestions until than, somebody hook it up!!!!!!

I broke my hand about 25 yrs. ago and it required no plates or screws and it still took 6-8 weeks to heal. Go slow and consult your doctor.
