As a Boxing fan I was privledged to see B-hop do what he does best.....We havr to ask does he belong in the top 5 of all time

20 straight title defenses
2 close controversial losses to Taylor
Jumps up 2 weight classes at 41 to become Lightheavyweight champion with a 1 sided clinic and ass beating of Tarver..

I hope Bernard does what few others have done...Retire on top and leave us wanting more...

In some peoples estimation Bernard will retire as the Top PFB in the world right now

I couldnt have been more satisfied and fulfilled as a boxing fan last nite...

Also Ironically Tarver has alot of egg on his face....He was flat and Like Roy was weakened by the extreme weight loss..But cant and wont admit it...I like what Nazeem told Hopkins between rounds "HE BULLSHITTED THE PUBLIC BUT NOT US" if Tarver admitted it he would be acknowledging everything we all knew he was a flash in the pan one hit wonder..

I do dare ask does this raise the public opinion of Roy Jones(cause of the extreme weight loss)? or does it hurt it because B-hop walked through Tarver like he was an amateur??

I loved the frustrated look on Tarvers face, he had Nothing, even Buddy was asking"Whats up baby??Talk to me champ whats wrong??" All Tarver could say was "nothing"

Then as the rounds wore on all Buddy could tell a beaten Tarver was how to survive and finish the fight on his feet and not on his ass!!!!

Hopkins was magnificant last night, I really didn't think he had it in him.

However that was not Antonio Tarver in the ring last night. He was a shadow of himself in there, don't know what went wrong but he just didn't turn up at all.

Bernard looks like he should have made the move up years ago, his body looked fantastic. He has to be the world's fittest 41 year old man. :P

B Hop,brilliant,and now NO-ONE can question his legacy,all the haters need to sit quietly annnnnnnd he's done us all a favour by shutting Tarver's big mouth! I thought it was going to be a KO for a second!!!! Is B-Hop really 41? I don't believe it!Wish he would have beaten JT like I know he can too!

I have never rated Tarver as a P4P fighter really. Hopkins really put on a clinic and did what I hoped he would do, albeit I didn't think it would be quite that convincingly.

I would definitely give him a top 5 in the middleweight division....but not a top 5 all time overall..... to many great fighters out there...

Hops was just brilliant, and yes this guy has the physique of a 25 yr old incredible he's 41yrs old.

ther are those "FREAKS" of nature out there and I believe B-HOP is one of them....I think with his style of fighting he could fight for another 2-3 years and be on the top of his game..... but I am glad to see him leave no...It makes his legacy even Brighter now!!!! Hopkins was just Manhandleing him and Bullying him around all nite....I hate when people call Hopkins boring...I say congrats and Fuk the haters..The truth is a slick crafty tough as nails and defensive minded 41 yearold who is a HOF'er and oh by the way leaves a legacy of consistency and longevity in a young mans sport...He can still add 2+2 and get through a sentence without slurring his speech like a drunken sailor with a family millions of dollars and partners in a flourshing promotional company.....I would say that determined son of a bitch got his and made the most out of it....GOOD FOR HIM!!

B-Hop was holding more than Ruiz in this fight and hardly thrown any combos. Easy to look good against slow Tarver last night. Let B-Hop fight a top Euro guy as Calzaghe, Adam or Kessler and we will be able to messure his real strenght.

I knew Hopkins was going to win this one all along, I broke it down and showed everyone how is it would be for Hopkins to win. I never gave Tarver a chance at all at beating Hopkins... Maybe a punchers chance, but I belive that Hopkins discpline and defense is hard to get through. I just thought it was funny how Tarver probably thought he was going to beat Hopkins because of how well he did against RJJ. Jones and Hopkins are too totally different boxers. I actually would put Hopkins ahead of jones at this point as far as being P4P and one of the best boxers in this era. If you look in the other forums, you will see what I wrote about Hopkins why I really thought Tarver was going to lose.
