Today out in print, Edwin Rollon of manilastandardtoday.com reports that Games and Amusements Board chairman Eric Buhain confirms that Mayweather Jr. is considering fighting Manny Pacquiao.

Buhain is quoted in Manila Standard Today.com in regards to Mayweather vs Pacquiao: “It’s going to be a blockbuster. Our friends in the world boxing council tipped this to us, and if plans push through, this would be the biggest break for Manny.”

Buhain added: “Manny’s ideal weight is 130 lb, but he can fight at 135 and Mayweather is willing to trim down from 140 to 135 just to fight Pacquaio.”

Wow, no way is this true.

I would back Pac simply due to Floyd having to drain to get back down to 135 and the problems this would cause for him, his chin would suffer and that is not what u need against Pac.

Not u mate , but when Hatton sadi he wants winner of Castillo-Corrlaes there was alot of muppets on here calling him a pussy and not a man for moving back down in weight, yes Pac is p4p no 3, but say Calzaghe went down and fought Oscar?? Floyd doesn't need to be going back down to 135. But damn would that be a huge a** fight. Seriously, Floyd's best weight is 135. He's got KO power from accumulation at 135 and 140. At 147, it doesn't matter how many punches he lands he's not knocking anyone out. Floyd should stay and fight De La Hoya, if ODLH wants the fight though. And he will. I hated because I thought that he should give Collazo a rematch, he shouldn't take the guy's belt and run back to 140. This Pacman craze is getting crazier and crazier; somebody stop it! But just in case my hero is crazy enough to take the challenge, I hope he'd add his weight with a real muscle, not just by eating up to add more flabs, but through an honest to goodness weight training regiments. Honestly, I have my doubts. Pacman is not good at catching a quick, evasive type of fighter like Pretty Boy. If Floyd did what Hopkins did last week, I doubt if Pacman can handle that. I think only time Pacman should fight Floyd is when he runs out of worthy opponents; there are still lots of them out there, like Barrios, Juarez, Raheem, and even Castillo. But first thing first, he should finish his business with Morales first before looking ahead, if indeed the fight pushes through.

Pacquiao aint his best at 130, you actually thinkg he'd stand a chance at 135, against a better defensive counter puncher then JMM, WHO HITS MUCH HARDER!! Mayweather hits about as hard as a 140 pounder can hit. The kind of beating Mayweather put on Gatti do you actually think that pacquiao would be on his feet by the time the 4th round came?
