Default j.t welcome to top p4p

j.t won that...lathan gave it 114-114 but gave the last round to winky...winky was coming in to take the title he can't just expect to have won it, he got to take it from the champ...j.t remains the champ and showed agains winky his p4p...it was close but it wasn't a winky vs vargas it was really either j.t's win or a draw...winky blew it he forgot that his the one whos coming in to take the championship...

    lets debate........

I agree with you that the challenger has to go take the title, but this is boxing. If the right fighter comes along at the right time they are given the belts, controversially, disputed, or whatever. It will be like this as long as there are judges, promoters, and money involved.

yeah, winky wasn´t as lucky to get the title as taylor was. and taylor just talked bullshit about fighting in the 12th. did he think he was ahead on points? most shots he landed was on the gloves. a natural top middleweight will soon beat the shit out of taylor, because he looked very fragile this night.

taylors eyes swelling up because of the head butts...if it wasn't for him not being able to see for the last few rounds...taylor would of ran away with the win...may have finish winky off...p4p j.t.

Than why did Sturm refuse $750,000 to fight Taylor? Don't tell me he actually thinks he's worth more.

So how much is Strum worth, in your opinion?

before taylor got the decisions over hop..which when i thought they should have fought...to determine who should fight bhop for the crown..but they chose taylor even though sturm had proven himself by kicking oscars ass.... but anyway before that sturm was worth more..but since taylor's got the belts...i'd say at least 60-40 split...

I could be wrong, but I think Taylor's purse for that fight would of been 2 million. 2 million to $750,000 is not exactly unfair.

Because Taylor seems to get the decision no matter how many punches you outland him with.

If you were a defending champion that valued his career...would you want to take your chances against that? Especially in said fighter's hometown?

    Didn't think so.

So if Taylor were to agree to fight Strum over seas there would be no chance of a robbery, right?

So you have to take the belt from the champ... I guess you'd have to really take the belts from someone who has held them for a decade? Apparently not. JT never deserved the nod against BHop... that was way too close to go to JT. Tonight however Winky outdid Taylor much worse then BHop did. Winky outlanded him, dictated the pace and ring generalship of the fight, and many of Taylor's 'landed' punches were off the gloves.

A sad night in boxing. When they went to the cards I said to my buddy, "I will walk home if Winky doesn't win". That's 1.5 hour walk.. I was so sure Winky got it. But no.... I don't even know what to say.

Yes I would and so does JT. because that is what being champion is about. taking chances and knowing you are putting yourself and your title at great risk. So far, JT has been a great champion. Going right to winky instead of dodging him. JT said he'd fight anybody, anytime and I believe the man.
