    Default Graveyard and Training

hey folks. I'm a newb to the forum but I've been following saddo for about a year. I've been training since Sept 05 but now things have changed. for the past month I've been working a graveyard shift. I work tuesday to friday with sat, sun and monday off. the shift is from 10pm to 830am. I try to sleep buy 0930 to 10am, then try to make it to the boxing gym by 5pm. will this work? how do I schedule roadwork to benefit me most? I'm a bit old at 28 but I aspire to fight as an amature. watching, talking and doing boxing brings me true happiness and peace of mind. this graveyard shift has really comprised my training, eating habits and sleep. i'm looking for sound advice on how to make it work. by the way, I'm an x-ray tech. the job can get pretty physical lugging around hurt patients and geriatrics all night. hey at least I work in the right place if I need a head scan. Thanx

Well, I'm no trainer but I'd say just do what works for you. Train whenever possible. I work mon-fri, 8-5 and am doing an evening mba with a kid due in august. I hit the gym AOAP. I make sure I have at least two weeknights to go for about an hour or two, then do my own thing on the weekend, either at the gym or at home. Thus, I have a speedbag, heavy bag, medicine ball and spinning bike at home. So when I can't make the gym, I'll sneek in 15-20 minutes/day somehow...just enough to not lose anything. BTW, I'm 3 weeks away from 33 so enjoy your remaining youth and freedom now!
