Thread: Spinks VS. Kassim Ouma: what would be the outcome?

What would be the outcome if this fight comes to light?

Ouma getting outboxed

and losing a decision. I don't think Ouma can hang very well with boxers, if Verno Phillips(that his name?) can hang tough with Kassim Ouma, Cory Spinks would outbox him thoroughly

Not sure about this one. Spinks has the ability to outbox Ouma and to keep Ouma chasing him all night but is Ouma going to be deterred by Spinks? And if Spinks couldn't hold up for anymore then 7 or 8 rounds against Karmazin who did nothing to the body and was severely inactive, how is he going to cope with Ouma and over 100 punches a round nonstop? IMO, Kassim Ouma wears down Spinks. Spinks looked good, but it was against a guy who keeps his hands low and who wasn't doing what he had to do to win the fight. I don't know how Spinks holds up.

Just like I said about the Karmazin - Spinks fight going in, it's 50/50. Only I know that Ouma won't be inactive like Karmazin.

As much as I hate to admit it and as huge and Ouma fan as I am he seems to take a lot of straights to the face and is the fastest at throwing them and the people that hit Ouma with them aren't as fast or accurate as Spinks is. And I think that Ouma's 100 punches around works when someone is standing in front, or being still, and I don't think that it would deter Cory who would be dodging those punches and keeping Ouma at a distance. And as I said I think the weight moving up to 154 and the over a year off may have effected his stamina, as it would any fighter. THing is Spinks tried to fight the same 147 pound pace he fights but in his first fight at 154 it wasn't a good idea, look what happened to DLH when he tried that against Sturm see how quickly he got tired. I think Spinks next fight he will be settled at the weight and Ouma's only chance WOULD BE if Spinks slowed down.

I think Ouma stops him late when Spinks runs out of gas. But a Spinks win wouldn't be a shock

It's a very winnable fight for Spinks and Ouma CAN be outboxed.

but ouma is accurate enough to land effectivley, and he is quick on his feet enough to catch spinks after round 6 when he can barley move

OUMA WOULD LOSE BECAUSE HE COULDNT HANDLE THE MOVEMENT. BUT SPINKS ALWAYS FADES BECAUSE HE DOESNT HAVE THE POWER TO KEEP GUYS OFF IN THE LATE ROUNDS(HENCE,KAR AND JUDAH).

Spinks will lose but just get the win like against Karmazin....
