Yes, I mean they were excellent amateurs and even better pro's, but neither was up to Amir's amateur standard on that video (Olympic silver medalist, who lost to the winner of the Val Barker).

The thing now is, Amir has to show he is as good a pro as Pryor and maybe even Tommy. But that cannot be answered in the positive for at least another 10 years...

i wana see amir khan fight decent opponent i wana see him get knocked down to see if hes got heart to come back or atleast hit a bit to see how hes chin is.

Tommy was not... As an amatuer he had 155 wins (8 defeats) 11 stoppage wins

amir khan didnt look that great in amateurs and he couldnt of handled the pressure of pryor in amateurs.

Plenty of time for that two or three years down the line; the kid is only what, 20? If he is for real, we have another 10 years + of him yet; that is plenty of time to see him in real battles. First he needs to learn his trade properly... Warren knows what he is doing IMO.

I think Amir has a looooooooooooooooooong way to go before he should even be mentioned in the same breath as Pryor or Hearns.
