first off, where you from cos if your from america and i say get some cheap lonsdale bag gloves to start off with and that theyr a tenner you wont know what im on about,

lol and secondly dont get lonsdale bag gloves, they were my first pair and they sucked,
but in all honesty all i can really tell you is if your getting your first pair dont go out and buy the nicest and most expensive gloves out there, just grab some, about 10oz have a good feel of em you can usually tel the quality by stitching and such, check the inside to! try em on! you like em? buy em! i'd say spend maybe £20($40 odd) on some gloves at the most and jus get going.
