Thread: Am i the only one that doesnt hate Ray Leonard?

It seems every person on this forum hates Ray Leonard for his attitude or the decisions he got against Hagler and the draw with Hearns.
I always liked Ray, would like to think i aint the only one.

I don't....
I think he was a great fighter with great skills, 2nd fastest hands in boxing next to Meldrick Taylor. IMO.

Nah bro I like Leonard heaps his fight with Benitez was exactly what the sweet science is about! He cares about the 2nd Hearns bout cause Leonard beat him when it mattered most. I personaly thought Leonard won the Hagler fight easy! Leonard's an all time great!!!

Sugar Ray was an absolutely amazing boxer, and fighter, obviously. That's what counts most of all for me as a fan. I do get put off sometimes by boxers who are over-the-top arrogant and wise, but, even if we see flaws in Sugar Ray's personality, we can't say those things about it.

Ray Leonard was one of the best fighters to step into a ring.

I just don't think he beat Hagler, or drew with Hearns.

Despite this, and I will never change my mind, I don't hate him - I mean, I've never even met the guy!!!

He is the best fighter since Ali and from what I can see a nice bloke.

I'm a big Ray Leonard fan, one of the greatest of all time.

And I can't believe how good he looks on the Contender! He looks no older than the guys who are fighting.
