It Was Suppose To Be 3x3 Minute Rounds With 30 Second Punchout But I Was Woreout And Just Pretty Much Started The 3x3 minutes, i was just doing 3x1 minute rounds cuz were i am anually they have this smoker boxing thing which is pretty much exactly opposite from boxing cuz first there is only 3x1 minute rounds and the judges judge it by who was more agrresive not who controlled the fight or landed more punches so they piss me off but its the only thing i got in this little redneck town.

It's pretty brave of you to post the video of yourself!

I noticed that you were boxing southpaw - is that because you are very right handed and feel comfortable jabbing with the right, or is your strongest punch your left hand?

I liked your idea of having the glove moving around to dodge it,but you need to make sure you don't hang your chin our when you dodge it (maybe sometimes it's better to take the punch on your forehead rather than pull your head back and expose your chin??

Anyway - you definitely look as if you are taking it seriously, so good luck.

    hey ya
this is not puttin u down just a few tips that i belive will help

1st-first of keep your hands up !!! your keeping them resonable high when entering but when leaving both hands are down leaving u exposed for counters that could catch you on the chin.when you throw you jab and straight left think as if it is a train line and it goes from your face straigh down that line then back down the same line to your face again.

2nd -when you are using the jab try and lock your arm out , as if ur oppnante is walking in on your jab at the moment ur arm will easily bend back , but if u lock it , each jab will snap there head back , trust me i been on the receiveing end of a solid jab ...there is no walking through it!!!

3rd-with your straight left you maybe able to get a little more power by twistin your hip and sholder in to the punch by pivorting on the ball of your foot.

i hope this information is helpfull and best of luck with your training
if there any bits that dont make sence or ya need help with let me know and i will rewright it when i more awake lol

    Hai,

a little addition to what 3ean already mentioned:

    4) everytime you punch with your right hand, your left hand lowers. Keep your left hand to your chin/cheek!
    5) when moving around the bag, you only move to your right. Try to also move to your left. That will be a bit difficult since your a southpaw, so practice your moving starting slow.
    6) when you give more than one punch, you kinda fall forward. Try to keep your weight on your left leg. One for balance, and two: falling into your punch (as we call it here in the Netherlands) you give your opponant an easy game. All he has to do is wait and catch you with an uppercut or hook and your out.
    7) when you give low punches, you bent down in your back instead of keeping your back almost straight and bending through your knees. In your case, again you're an easy target voor your opponent.
8.) also when you finisch your punch or punchcombo, take one step back. You stay in one place so your opponent can counter. With a simple step back your (practicly) out of reach for your opponent, without being to far away to attack again yourself.

And again! Always keep your hands up, defense is about the most important thing!
    Good luck!

Only watched about half of it

From what I saw, you've gotten infintely better. So awesome on that.

My biggest thing I saw was that your hands constantly drop. The biggest time I saw it wasnt necessarily when punching, its when you were weaving and slipping. Your hands dropped down to your hips every time. When your down that low, you really arent going to get hit in the gut, but a well placed hook or uppercut will lay you out flat.

I'd advise against locking your arm out on the jab. It's a GREAT way to hyerextend your elbow. If you REALLY want to stiffen up your jab, just use your hips a bit more. Not to mention, by locking out the elbow, you'll likely leave it out there longer, and asking for a straight to the chin.

Keep up the good work, man. Coming along great.

    And awesome taste in music.
Boxing is like a handjob, and MMA is like a hot sweaty orgy with 5 chicks. I could never say no to a handjob, but which would you rather have?

Well just make sure you do get one one day, because you're progressing nicely, that's a good idea with the glove...

I'll have to do that when I get my double end bag put up

You threw a few jabs to the body and remianed upright when you did it, squat down, so that your shoulders are covering your chin when you through and it's easier to get your gloves back to your face.

Like you said you need to move your legs and shoulders when you slip, not from the back and keep your gloves tight when you do it, it feels easier with loose gloves I know, but it is also easier to be hit
