In the interests of being controversial - how about James Toney as Joe Frazier (in 'Ali')

Toney did ok...I've never seen him stay THAT quiet in real life though

i liked mr t in rocky 3 the fierce staredown he does and bad attitude and the dude was strong as hell

Without a doubt...Russell Crowe in Cinderella Man.

Paul Giamatti as his promoter & corner man was the bomb too.

Honestly, that's one of the best boxing movies that's been made outside of Raging Bull & I honestly like Cinderella Man better due to the fact that it was a period peice that was done correctly.
