    Default Taylor ouma

according to espn headlines jermain has taken the fight with ouma this december
aparently winky pulled out but hasnt disclosed the reasons why whther it be money or what ever...
even thoughb they both wanted the fight!!
on one hand im miffed off that the rematch hasnt come along yet but then again im happy that ouma is going to get his shot at taylor...
and its still not a bad matchup to be fair ... i like ouma hes pretty entertainin
dont know if he can hang with jt though..we'll wait and see, i think jermaine gets a comfortable points victory and looks good doing it..(ud)

I think Taylor has a chance at a late (T)KO. Someone correct me if I am wrong but I dont think that Ouma has been hit as hard a Taylor is going to. Thou we should see how much better Taylor is or is not after his 3 fights with B-hop and Wright. Should be a show off fight for Taylor.

i think taylor will win comfortably and outclass taylor..... though i like ouma and dont want it to happen...
but jermaine is a great athlete and its a good fight to make jermaine look good, and plus the fans know ouma is a good fighter and it will look good for taylor as long as he doesnt take kassim lightly...
if he doesnt train like he does for his big big fights he might get suprised , i know ouma will train hard and give it his all for such a big match...
but i dont think jermaine can go wrong hes always very hard working and devoted to training and preparing for his fights

I dont think this will be a good fight for Kassim....Taylor is a BIG middleweight and very athletic, I dont see his pitter patter punches really doing anything to Jermaine not to mention Ouma's defense is very porous, I hate to say this because Kassim is a warrior in and out of the ring and has been thru hell and back a real human interest story, The fact of the matter is that he is way overmatched and will probably be dominated inside of 4 rounds

    Taylor TKO within 3-4 rounds.....

I read something on boxingtalk where Lou DiBella was saying that it fell through because Taylor's handlers wanted the fight to happen in January so it wasn't squeezed between a bunch of other PPVs, and Winky didn't want to wait that long. Which seems more than a little silly, since Winky now ends up with a non-PPV probably against Quartey--and a lot less money. I'm not sure I believe it.

a fight with quartey will just keep winky warm and pay for a few party's untill he gets taylor...
im not and never have been a fan of these lower tier champions and contenders like forrest, quartey and the rest of them , i just feel like theyr only making theyr way to the top so that great fighters like winky can beat on them inbetween big money bouts...
but yeh whatever winky wants...think it was the money issue... it was still 2 mil more than last time but he said it was to do with percentage and respect!!
hmmm nevermind... jermaine will have to agree a split sometime soon or nobody will accept him as the champ for long!!

i dont know if ouma fell off.... but im impressed with jermaines heart and courage to have been taking on great comptetition...
ouma is great but i dont know if he can beat jermaine after he's been in with the best and showed how great a fighter he is, it seems like a fair bit of a step down for jermaine,
still, be interesting to watch though

At least Ouma is a legit world class boxer (unlike Mora). With Ouma the fight gains some legitimacy instead of a highly paid sparring match for Taylor.

How hard does Ouma really punch? I don't know much but it looks like alot of punches and no juice. Ouma is in serious trouble in this fight. I hope in his loss that he doesn't get beat up too bad, because he is fun to watch.
Winky is the man. I wish more people would remember that. Winky is what alot of other boxers wish they could be.

GENIUS!!! The only way Ouma could win is if Taylor beats himself

I think this will be a much closer fight than people think... I think Ouma may even have a decent shot to win. Taylor is a really poor infighter, he simply has no skill in a phone booth... Ouma is just so relentless that although his shots may not do alot of damage if he can constantly tag Taylor in the corner and along the ropes, Jermain may have a really rough time.. It will definetly come down to Taylors power and Oumas chin though.. If Taylor can hurt him, then it should be an easy night.. But if Ouma can walk through his punches and crowd him, that's where I see a close match.

The problem I think is Taylors power against Ouma's chin.

Like you said if he can get Taylor in a corner and close distance it could be interesting cause Taylor's infighting skills are bad and he generally doesn't handle pressure that well. Stamina's been somewhat questionable too.

But Ouma can't just get repeatedly caught with the right hand coming in. I'm not sure how many he'll be able to take. And if Taylor can back Ouma up with the jab and right hand...fights over.

Size difference will be ridiculous, when they stand next to each other at the weigh in that will be very clear. Conflicted on this fight, glad to see one of my favorite fighters get a big shot, not glad that its at 160.
