You gotta hand it to Holyfield though, he certainly plays every trick in the book to survive the round short of just kicking Ruiz in the face.

No wonder Tyson bit his ear off

I think it is safe to say that Holyfield has never been hurt that bad before.

John Ruiz sucks, he isn't even a boxer. He cheats too much, and shouldn't be able to box anymore.

I think Riddick Bowe, Bert Cooper, or Muhammad Qawi might disagree with you there.

well i believe it was like in the 6th round or so i put like a hundred dollars that Holy would KO Ruiz and Ruiz went down in that same exact round and stayed down so i jumped up and ran up and down the mandalay bay cuz it meant i won like 700bucks!!!!! but then of course Ruiz was biotching that it was a low blow and so he took the full 5min lying flat on the ground to get up. At this point the boriquas were actually supportive of Ruiz ahahhaa and they was all giving me harsh looks.

Never liked Ruiz. one punch/clutch i used to call him. But he did win some fights with his style so blame the judges and refs for allowing him to clutch and hold all fight long. should be 2 or three warnings right off the bat, then a warning (or 2 in a major fight)
that a point will be deducted. then 2 point deductions, then warning that the next will be disqualification, and DO IT! Holyfields conditioning has carried him a long long way but after the fight against donald...wow he looked bad! just couldnt get off at all against a fairly light puncher. One fight against an Insurance salesman doesnt make you a Championship contender. hey i could lose to larry donald and slap the insurance guy from the movie groundhog day around, do i get klitchko next? Frez Oquendo just lost to ruiz and Byrd so whats a win over him going to prove?? nothing! I like Evander but hes already startin to sound like my neighbour after 14 beers,it worries me! what do you guys think??

Even considering these names, you have to admit this was the worst he was ever hurt.

Riddick bowe- In the first fight, holy got hit in the back of the head and took a knee, although he was hurt he got back up and started fighting again(watch what he does agaisnt Ruiz.) In the 3rd fight, Holy seemed to be more exhausted then knocked out.

Bert Cooper- he hurt him, but Holy never hit the canvas. He took a standing Eight. (we are talking about hurting him the worst)

Muhammad Qawi- correct me if I am wrong, but I think Qawi ever put holy down.
