Thread: I am sick of all these Rematches !

Seriously, I really hate Rematches, its another way to milk the public out of more money ! Now in some cases its justified but its the norm now days, and it gets old. the winner is going to be the same as the first fight 75% of the time. I would rather see fresh match-ups !

Guess they are going the way of the film industry what with spawning countless sequels.

You know it's getting bad though when they decide to remake fighters from the 80's and 90's Hearns, Holyfield, Bowe etc :P

MAB has stated unequivocally and categorically that he will not,under any circumstances,rematch Erik Morales. As for all these rematches,sometimes they can be good,like Pac EM 3,who does not want to see that but I agree,nowadays,there are too many uneccessary rematches like Juarez-MAB 2 ALHTHOUGH,I can guarantee that had MAB not taken the fight(even though he CLEARLY won the first)people or should I say haters would have started saying that he is ducking Jurez etc. It's double edged sword.

Like Corrales-Casamayor, Hagler-Leonard, Corrales-Castillo (bad rematch anyway), DLH-Trinidad, Louis-Schmeling, Ali-Frasier

I always knew that there would be a danger that one of my listed fights took place and I just missed it !!!!

Chavez Taylor 2 happened a few years later. Taylor was ruined after the first fight and it wasn't competetive. Nobody talks about it cause Taylor was ko'd a couple of times before that. Taylor fought up till 2002, and slurs his words so bad it is terrible to see the damage he took. Watch the HBO special on that fight. It's very sad.

some rematches are just as good as the original....Godfather II ring a bell......Bowe-Holyfield?

yeah some rematches are justified, but as a rule, id rather see new fights made. I guess what I am saying is I don’t like Immediate Rematches, let both guys fight 2-3 fights then have a rematch
if both fighters are still worthy .

I agree to a point. Castillo-Corrales 2 should of never happened so quickly. It should of followed the Morales-Barerra fights route. In which each fight occured 2 years apart.
