its beneficial to start younger obviously, but guys your never to old to learn the skills of and enjoy the sport, why not give it a go theres a guy in the gym im in that didnt turn up till he was 32 and he loves every minute of it. Its a great way to stay fit aswell even if your not gonna compete, give it a go
    you will love it!!

In the gym i train in new comers are always welcome. you would do a lot of fitness, bodyweight exercises(push ups, pull ups squats ect, technique work on with partners, heavy bag drills, shadow boxing ,and many more things every session is different.

I think I read somwhere that we are constantly dreaming in our sleep. Most of the time we just don't remember cus dreams are not in real time, they are real fast.

I have had many street fight dreams but none in the ring.
I have woke up from my own punches to the face

I joined the gym when I was 11.
Trained for 2 years. I have never been knocked out in a real fight.
I spared with a friend who was 5 times bigger than me, and 6 years older than me and I learned first hand what a knock out feels like.
It was like huge shots to the head, start seeing stars and birds over my head, legs turn into string and down I go. Not to sleep but a little dazed. Got back up, and got knocked down again. Got back up and the people who were watching said that was enough. Very enjoyable moment for me.
The worst part of that experience was having to use a used mouth piece that did not fit properly. (yes it was used) I later had one custom made.

I have never been hurt or knocked out in a real fight. (not even when getting jumped) Cuts yes, broken nose yes, damaged ribs, <--- Hurt the most bloody lip too.
