Ponce-De Leon: Say Hello To The Bad Guy(he wants Rafa Marquez&Vazquez!)
CC - Really good article. I like what ive seen of De Leon and that last knock out a month or so ago was some hit. I agree that he has a great attitude from reading that article and the bit you have highlighted is my favourite part as well. Guranteed exciting fighter and a real top prospect for boxing.
Nice read El Gamo.
I don't know ? ? I mean I like De Leon but I'm not sure if he has ALL the goods to be THE man in the div.
Right off the bat I think Vasquez beats him, and theres a lot of talent at Super Bantam right now.
But hey! who the fwock I'am to say what he can & can't do. Just my opinion.
CC back bro,I love that highlighted part too!!!
I looooooooooooooooooove Rafa Marquez and Vazquez but this guy Ponce De Leon,I like his style, his attitude and because those both like to bang, they give him a chance. I want to see how he does with a boxer like Seeger first but I think,if he wins,he should hunt those 2 down,I want to see some 3 way action man!!! I hope Rafa carries his power up!!Originally Posted by CutMeMicK
Him vs Rafa Marquez would be a good one
i own ponce de leon! he is a good fighter! i would be good if he goes for the best and doesnt just stick with the easier fights becos he has the potential to win them!
About RMarquez not sure how the weight will effect him, I do think he would be a fairly small Super Bantam. Who knows though, I mean maybe thats where he belongs.Originally Posted by El Gamo

hmm, pretty good record but he's fought only in Thailand and has been Koed a couple times, once recently.. Don't think he can handle Marquez. But how does a fighter get a WBC international belt in his pro debut, and a WBA title shot in his 4th fight...Originally Posted by CutMeMicK

Sahaprom is not a bad fighter. He's been one the top Bantamweights for almost 10 years. But he's clearly past his prime and I see him giving Marquez little to no trouble at all. I'll take Marquez over anybody from 122 on down. And over a couple of 126 poundersOriginally Posted by CutMeMicK
It tends to happen, but more often in the lower weight classes where your more of a stepping stone rather then 'getting a shot' at the title.Originally Posted by p4pking
And even more in Asia where fighters are fighting for titles with 0 to 10 fights to their names.
Take the recent Nobuo Nashiro who at 7-0 fought WBA SuperFlyweight Champ Martin Castillo & won due to a cut on Martin.
Agreed, Sahaprom is not bad but hes past his best days those 2 fights with Hasegawa were insane the 1st more then the 2nd.Originally Posted by Violent Demise
