cant find nuthin on the net but ill keep looking i think it was an accident of some kind though as in Through the wire - Kanye west he says sumthin about feeling how mase did and kanye was in car crash and tht song is meant to be about the accident and the operation aftere tht

He found god, or god found him. Not sure how it happend but he became VERY religious and if I'm not mistaken he was practicing to be a Rev.
He came back with Diddy (Bad Boy) but it just wasn't the same for him.
Heres the song 'Welcome Back' had a few spins but nothing major.

yo bro remember i told u to listen to the old FUNKMASTER FLEX 60 minutes of FUNK CD? on volume II they had the Lox, Biggie, Mase flowin over Wu-Tang Clan beats. it was pretty sick man.

MASE ironically had a flow that started out like: "Yo this is Mase, I'm the ROY JONES of this rap sh*t, I'm in the best shape of my life, N*ggaz don't want to get in the ring with me, Im pretty, I hit hard........"

So the flow came out like about 94 or 95 and he used Roy Jones as a metaphor by saying He's the Roy Jones of this rap sh*t! shows how sick, dominating, P4P, great RJJ was back in the mid 90's man. still is to me in my eyes!

mase left music at the top of his game to become a pastor he said he was'nt live right etc,he became a pastor and has founded his own church called s.a.n.e ministries(S)aving (A) (N)ation (E)ndangered.he reckons he's come back to rap so more people can hear the word of god. the other story is he slept with the girlfriend of a notorious harlem gangster,the gangster found out,killed one of mase's friends and then mase had a price on his head, so he moved out of new york to atlanta,the gangster died a few years ago so now he feels safe to go back to new york and rap etc.

been a while since a rapper had anything to 'rap' about but himself eh

YEAH MAN cool click! theres a couple songs that used RJJ as a metaphor. one of them that comes to mind was LL COOL J he says one line like coming to battle me is like stepping into the ring with Roy. something to that degree
