Thread: Valuev/Barrett and Briggs/Adamek

Some things I need to vent:-


1) There needs to be a superheavyweight class. I didn't find it fun watching a matchup between two men where one outweighed the other by the best part of 50kg. And when it does come into being, no I won't be watching it.

2) The referee in Valuev/Barrett needs to be retrained. That fight should have been stopped about a round earlier. Barrett looks like a nice kid and I didn't particularly want to see him die in front of me.

3) The judge who scored Briggs/Adamek 115-111 needs glasses. 114-112 maybe, MAYBE... But 115-111 when there was a knockdown and a point deduction is bull.

4) Also, round 9. Hands up who scored that round 9-9? So you had Adamek winning that round before the point deduction?? Crap - the best punches Adamek landed in that whole round were fucking LOW BLOWS... The reason I bring this up is because that's precisely what Cl Bob Sheridan, our commentator, proclaimed.



Anyway, I dind't bother watching the Showtime replay because Corrales came in too heavy (disgraceful) and I knew that Darchinyan would win easily.

I don't resent the fact that these guys come in heavy, I resent the fact that they weight til the fucking weigh-in before they let on...

Sometimes I wonder why I love it, but I do.
And as people get bigger, I agree that there should be a class for these bigger people.
200 pounds is the norm now, & for everyone 200 & above to be in the same catagory is dumb.
