Thread: Should all boxing fans world wide go on STRIKE? (Hear me out!)

Ok, I'm a bit of a dreamer, it'll never happen, BUT.
If every boxing fan, writer, and do gooder for the sport went on strike against 3 of the 4 boxing authorities (IBF/WBC/WBA/WBO) and refused to watch, i.e PPV, TV figures, in order to remove 3 of them from the frame and just leave us with one championship, would that be a good thing, and would you abstain from watching and talking about until it came through?

I just treat them as if they don't exist! I follow the Ring ranking & champions, every other belt holder is just a contender. I never refer to the alphabet boys by name or acknowledge their claims. To me they mean nothing!

But I find unification bouts exciting!!

I have been on strike for many moons. I don't buy PPV. Long live the Pirates.

Doesn't matter about belts. If its entertaining and its two fighters that should be fighting each other, they could be fighting for a date with Richard Simmons and I wouldn't care

You mean like when they can't make weight? Like a certain "chico" corrales?

yeh unifications are sweet but as of late it seems the cats that jus cant match up to the best are just going for another alphabet title so they can be world champ but never fight nobody...
i imagine things would be awefully exciting if there were one title holder for each wieght class....
there would be more challengers for the one title at least...
maybe they should litterally limit it to just the four major titles instead so the unifications are true unifications and get rid of these nabo ibo wbu titles etc then just have one title per class for things like british , europian, commonwealth , latino etc.. wot u guys think?

There is only one champion per division, the Ring champion. Unification of the alphabet belts don't mean sh*t as the winner will usually be stripped sooner or later for not defending against an underserving mandatory.

I heard you out and no. If there is a fight on, I'll watch it, pay good money for it and put good money on it. It's boxing and there isn't enough of it.

No just try to make a boxers Union like MLB,NBA,NFL and NHL.

I think having so many 'Champions' hurts boxing. We just need one. And we only need three divisions. Heavyweight, middleweight, and lightweight.
