Thread: Can Calzaghe take Joe Louis record of 25 undefeated fights....?

Tough one to call because Joe would be Knocking on 37/38 ish in 6/7 fights time and that's staying injury free.

probably not depends on who he fights

i doubt he will stay at super middle weight if he beats kessler there isnt much more to do in that weight division so he might try and go after woods or hopkins after

Joe Calzaghe is awesome but i dont know how many more fights he has in him. As far as being recognized as the best P4P fighter in the world, hes gotta fight one or two more A-level opponents. Yeah he kicked ass against Lacy, but that is only one name on how many wins over no name opponents? Im sorry but i didnt know who Bika was. The only other name on his resume that I recognize was Chris Eubanks. A good fighter but not an A-level one in my opinion. Lets see what Joe can do to line up some good fights here against Wright, DLH, Hopkins (maybe if he doesnt stay retired), or Antonio Tarver. He beats some of them, hes got a real argument for being the best pound for pound.

I'm sorry Dave, but you seem to have stepped into the twilight zone. I was patrolling the borders of the UK Boxing board, mainly to make sure no-one was vandalising the fences, and I saw your post. There are dangerous beings lurking in the darker corners of this part of the forum, not least AdamGB.

Anyhow, I think there are a few more names on Joe's record than that. Robin Reid is a former SMW champ, Mario Veit was a big player till he got KO'd, and there's plenty of mandatories on there too.

Anyhow, for your own safety, I suggest you stay in the open on this desolate, dangerous part of the board. And if you hear any cries, run hard, run fast, and don't look back.
